Writing about Blitz Party - 30th JanThe first band, Twin and Tonic, are a winsome and stylish quartet fronted by twin sisters with debonair stage presence. Calling to mind the old USO performances of yesteryear, they sing seductively through nostalgic styled silver-grilled microphones to a dance floor packed with revellers.

The drinks were standard blitz fare; excellent, expensive and a pain in the backside to reach without patience and good conversation. Or the photographers walkway behind the main bar which we made much of, only occasionally breaking a few crates of glasses. Entertainment was provided by the fabulous Twin and Tonic, who couldn’t always be heard above the hubbub but the rapid costume changes from the two bombshells out front was as fun to watch as the slack jawed ogling clientele. Which I very much count myself part of.

- writing about The Blitz Party
"Saturday 7th February saw the first of what will presumably be a series of parties with a a Blitz theme—the venue, some converted railway arches in Shoreditch, had been decked out with sandbags and wartime food products, the punters came in wartime uniforms and 1940s fashions and even the drinks menus were styled as ration books. Entertainment came in the form of swing disc jockeys and the live band Twin and Tonic, a swing combo fronted by the lovely Holland twins."
